Our Town
by Thornton Wilder We liked this one so much we actually did a live production of the third act last year. The play follows the life of a turn of the century New Hampshire girl, Emily Webb, through youth and marriage and finally into the graveyard and what lies past death. Wilder gives you a glimpse of how the dead see life, and how beautiful the world is from the eternal point of view. Emily: Do any human beings ever realize life while they live it . . . every, every minute? Stage Manager: No . . . the saints and poets maybe, they do, some. |
