Dear Educator,

Congratulations, and thank you for registering for Inward Bound!

On behalf of the Self Knowledge Symposium and other conference sponsors, we look forward to welcoming you to this much anticipated event. Over 300 students and colleagues will be joining you at North Carolina State University's campus on October 13-15, 2002, and we know that you share our excitement leading up to this historic event.

Inward Bound presents the rare opportunity to engage with colleagues who are likewise devoted to incorporating critical thinking and reflection into the university environment. Inspiration will come from many sources: your personal stories shared in small group discussions, the extraordinary insights gleaned along the way by our amazing speakers, and through meeting countless others who are also seeking a truer way to live. And to top it all off, there'll be plenty of celebrating, fellowship, food, and fun!

Inward Bound will kick-off with registration beginning at 8:00am on Sunday, October 13th at the Talley Student Center and will conclude on Tuesday, October 15th at 3:00pm. Please plan to attend the entire conference, as both the keynote and the closing ceremonies are critical to framing the conference.

Enclosed you will find directions to Talley Student center and answers to frequently asked questions. Your workshop assignments will be provided at registration. We have also included "The Cup of Trembling," an article the students will use during the conference to stimulate self-reflection.

If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free email us at info@selfknowledge.org.

Once again, we look forward to seeing you at Inward Bound!

Sincerely,

2002 Inward Bound Planning Committee
